Level 5 Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling (L5-PC)

Description
This L5PC is a part time 1 year online course that is designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills to work towards becoming an independent counsellor in private practice and the complexities and challenges in client work as an independent practitioner. It also provides the opportunity for learners to take on more senior roles within an organisational setting. This course aligns with SCoPEd Column B competences.
Progression
Successful learners may progress onto the Open University Foundation Degree in Counselling or the Level 6 Certificate in Therapeutic Counselling Supervision provided they have acquired at least one year’s part-time post PC-L5 supervised client work.
Entry requirements:
Candidates will have successfully completed the Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling or its equivalent.

Client work:
A minimum of 60 hours of contracted one to one counselling formally conducted and contracted.
