Step towards Professional Registration
Our fast-track blended course of level 2 counselling skills (CSKL2) and Level 3 counselling studies (CST-L3) offers a quicker route to the TCL4 two year diploma. This course meets the standards required by CPCAB. Your journey to becoming a counsellor begins here. It is designed to offer flexibility towards higher education.
NCPS – recognised |qualifications help practitioners advance towards membership with a professional body.
Meeting Professional Training Standards – These qualifications meet live-taught Guided Learning Hours (GLH) requirements, supporting progression pathways in regulated counselling qualifications.
What sort of personal qualities are desirable as a counselling trainee?
Trainees need to demonstrate evidence of the following qualities or at least the potential for developing them:
- Self-awareness, maturity and stability.
- Ability to make use of and reflect on life experience.
- Ability to form a helping relationship.
- Awareness of difference, diversity prejudice and oppression
Progression:
Successful candidates may progress on to the TC-L4 two year diploma on completion of the blended CSK-L2 and CST-L3.
Minimum entry requirements: No formal qualifications are required however Applicants must have sufficient writing skills to undertake the written course work and assessment requirements of this course and will be invited to an interview prior to a placement offer.

Assessment:
You will complete a portfolio evidencing the minimum assessment requirements. All assessments are internally moderated.
